Handgun Training

Program.

Our training programs are built with the same course design techniques used by the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center. Our program uses a progression model to help you gain and reinforce shooting fundamentals using a red-dot pistol-mounted optic from day one. Courses must be taken in sequence.

Foundations

Course.

Course Description.

This course is designed to teach safe handgun manipulation on a live-fire range. You will learn how to safely load and unload a semiautomatic handgun. You will learn proper stance, grip, red-dot pistol-mounted optics sight picture attainment, and trigger control. You will gain confidence through live-fire shooting drills.

Course Length: Approximately 4 hours

Cost: $400 - includes the use of a handgun, ammunition, hearing protection, and eye protection for the course.

Final Evaluation.

To receive your certificate of completion and become eligible for our intermediate course, you will have to fire 7 rounds from a 9MM semiautomatic handgun with a red-dot pistol-mounted optic into a standard playing card in under 14 seconds from a distance of 7 yards.
